Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and under 21 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
Youth members must complete a youth application. There is no cost to join Crew #77, as the crew, through fundraisers, pays for all members. Members are asked to participate in fundraisers.
Adult members (21 years of age and older) interested in joining must complete an adult application and Venturing youth protection training. Adult members must be approved by the Chartered Organization, the Crew Committee, and the Boy Scouts of America. Adult members must complete the required training for their assigned position (ex: Associate Advisors must complete Venturing Leader Specific Training).
All members of Crew #77 will receive free training in CPR/AED and various first aid courses. All members are expected to participate in crew fundraisers.
