Welcome to Venturing Crew #77
Minsi Trails Council
Boy Scouts of America

Crew #77 was organized in 2003 by members of Akelaland’s summer camp staff to provide EMS coverage at Boy Scout events held by Minsi Trails Council and was chartered to Northampton Regional EMS, Inc. of Northampton, PA. In 2012, the crew's chartering organization became Eastern Pennsylvania EMS Counicl, Inc.  The Crew is a member of North Valley District, Minsi Trails Council, BSA.


Since 2003, the Crew has continued to offer EMS coverage at various Boy Scout events, including Minsi Trails Council’s 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2015 Jambos at Kutztown University and at various North Valley District camporees. The crew began providing American Red Cross training in CPR & AED, Standard First Aid, Responding to Emergencies, Emergency Response, and Wilderness & Remote First Aid to the Boy Scouts of America, the Girl Scouts of the USA, local fire and police departments, community organizations, and local businesses with three certified American Red Cross Instructors. 

In 2014, the crew became an Education Center for Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) and began offering CPR/AED, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and Pet First Aid courses through certified eight certified instructors.  The crew has provided training to over 800 in CPR/AED, over 500 in Standard First Aid, over 60 in Emergency Medical Response, and over 250 in Wilderness First Aid.


On November 9, 2010, the crew received accreditation by the PA Department of Health as a Continuing Education Sponsor.
